Privacy policy

The purpose of this policy is to inform you of the procedures for collecting, processing and using your personal data and of your rights in terms of the protection of personal data with regard to the provisions applicable in this area, in particular Law 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms known as “Informatique et libertés” in its latest version and with the RGPD (General Data Protection Regulation) in application since 25 May 2018. This policy completes the legal notice.

All data is stored in France by our web hosting provider Hostinger, based at HOSTINGER INTERNATIONAL LTD, 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, and can be reached from: https://www.hostinger.fr/contact.

Data retention

  • Personal data (surname, first name, postal address, etc.): max. 3 years ;
  • Connection data: max. 3 years ;

We will only keep your personal data for as long as is necessary and proportionate for the purposes for which it was collected, i.e. for a maximum of 3 years from the last time you contacted us on your own initiative. After these periods, your data will be deleted or made anonymous.

How do we collect this data?

Personal data may be collected in various ways, including :

  • The personal data you provide via the contact forms (surname, first name, email address, etc.);
  • Personal data collected indirectly when using the Site ;

Comments

When you leave a comment on our site, the data entered in the comment form, as well as your IP address and your browser’s user agent, are collected to help us detect undesirable comments.

An anonymised string created from your e-mail address (also known as a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The Gravatar service’s confidentiality clauses are available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been validated, your profile photo will be publicly visible alongside your comment.

Purposes of collecting personal data

Personal data is generally collected for the purposes of Budgenie’s business, such as :

  • to improve the operation and browsing experience on the website
  • analysis of statistics to measure the relevance of content (most visited pages, number of visits, etc.)
  • respond to contact requests or comments

Subject to applicable local law, by providing Your email address, you expressly authorize Budgenie to use it along with other Personal Data relevant to providing you with feedback.

Budgenie may also use your e-mail address for administrative or other non-marketing purposes (for example, to notify you of important changes to the Site).

Links to websites not controlled by Budgenie

The Site may provide links to other third party websites that may be of interest to you. Budgenie has no control over the content of third party sites or the privacy practices of such third parties. Accordingly, we disclaim any responsibility or liability for the processing of your personal data by such third parties. It is your responsibility to inform yourself about the personal data protection policies of these third parties.

Cookies

The website may use cookies or other technologies likely to collect or store personal data. Cookies are text files stored and used to record personal and non-personal data relating to your browsing. Cookies can be permanent (and remain after you disconnect from the site in order to be used during your subsequent visits) or temporary (and disappear as soon as you disconnect from the site).

Budgenie uses cookies to analyse traffic and data on its website in order to :

  • To measure the number of users of our services, making them easier to use and ensuring that they are able to respond quickly to your requests (thanks in particular to Google Analytics);
  • To help us understand how users interact with the services in order to improve them (in particular through Google Tag manager);
  • Allow you to share content from the site on social networks. In this case, invisible “pixels” and cookies supplied by these third-party service providers may be used and stored. When the information generated by these cookies is transmitted, the cookie settings ensure that the IP address is rendered anonymous before geolocation and storage.

The rights you have over your data

All users concerned by the processing of their personal data may avail themselves of the following rights, pursuant to European Regulation 2016/679 and the Data Protection Act (Act 78-17 of 6 January 1978):

  • Right of access, rectification and erasure of data (laid down respectively in Articles 15, 16 and 17 of the RGPD);
  • Right to data portability (Article 20 of the RGPD) ;
  • Right to restrict (Article 18 of the RGPD) and object to data processing (Article 21 of the RGPD);
  • Right not to be subject to a decision based exclusively on an automated process ;
  • Right to determine the fate of data after death ;

To exercise your rights, please send a letter to contact@budgenie.fr so that the data controller can deal with your request. Users may be required to provide certain information such as their first and last names and their e-mail address.
