Is it a good idea to use a VPN to get Crunchyroll for less?
Using a VPN such as Proton VPN or NordVPN allows you to simulate a connection from another country and thus access content that is not available in France. As well as improving the security of your browsing, a VPN also offers another major advantage: you can benefit from the rates charged in certain countries, such as India or Argentina, where Crunchyroll subscriptions are much cheaper.
👉 Now, is that a good idea?
Clearly not, I wouldn’t recommend it for several reasons:
- A good VPN costs money, so unless you have other uses for it, it’s an extra expense to include on top of your Crunchyroll subscription.
- Accounts obtained via VPN may be blocked or require country verification
- Although you don’t need to be a great technician, you do need a minimum of experience to use a VPN.

Sharing an account profile is legal. The advantage of using GamsGo is that the platform acts as an intermediary and manages access to the account itself, which limits the risk of mismanagement.
If you use the marketplace, the only limit is that, as with all sharing, the account owner can change certain settings, but GamsGo checks the reliability of sellers and offers support in the event of a problem.
Crunchyroll does allow you to connect to several devices simultaneously, but if you have a shared account you can only watch one screen at a time, which seems rather logical in the end 😉
On the other hand, there’s no problem switching from the mobile application and resuming viewing from your TV, for example!

If you already had an account, you cannot automatically retrieve your bookmarks and history.
