Since the end of 2022 Paramount+ has been one of the popular SVOD platforms offering a wide range of films, series and documentaries. But how can you take advantage of subscriptions to several streaming platforms without breaking the bank?
I’m sharing with you my very simple tip for enjoying Paramount+ for less and without a VPN! Let’s find out how to reduce your bill from €3.5/month and still access your favourite content.
Paramount+ benefits and official rates
Although it arrived in France more recently than its direct competitors such as Netflix and Disney+, Paramount+ has nothing to be ashamed of in terms of its catalogue, which is relatively rich and varied, including :

The differences are mainly in video and audio quality, and the number of simultaneous screens. As far as the catalogue is concerned, there’s no difference, with the same films and series! And for the moment there are no adverts on Paramount+, whatever package you choose.

Is using a VPN a good or bad idea?
Using a VPN to pay less for Paramount+ may seem attractive, because like many streaming platforms, Paramount+ offers different prices for different countries.
Subscriptions are cheapest in South America in particular, in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, where you can take out a subscription for around USD 3.
But using a VPN also has a number of disadvantages:
- Connection slowdowns on some servers.
- Payment is sometimes complicated in the local currency or with exchange charges.
- Pay for a good VPN and spend time getting to know it.
- Can an account be blocked if the platform detects that it is being used outside the intended country?
