Whether you’re an architect, engineer, designer or student, Autodesk offers cutting-edge professional tools for designing advanced projects.
Autodesk is no mean feat! The group, which has been around since 1982 and is listed on Nasdaq (the 2ᵉ largest share market in the US), is valued at over $58 billion.
It’s all quite mind-boggling, but in the end what we’re really interested in is their high-performance software! Here’s how to get Autodesk for less, and the best way to get a full licence for just €16/month.
So you can maximise your investment while taking full advantage of the Autodesk world.

Autodesk licences and subscriptions
Before exploring tips for reducing costs, it’s important to understand Autodesk’s offering and what it has to offer in terms of software and pricing.
The range of software
Autodesk is renowned for its wide range of applications covering many professional sectors. Here are just a few of its flagship products:
- AutoCAD : Probably Autodesk’s most famous product, AutoCAD is computer-aided drafting (CAD) software used in architecture, engineering and design.
- Revit : Specially designed for Building Information Modeling (BIM), Revit is a must-have for architecture and construction.
- 3ds Max and Maya: These software packages are benchmarks in the fields of modelling, 3D animation and visual effects. They are widely used in the film and video game industries.
- Fusion 360: An industrial design tool that enables rapid prototyping, CAD, CAM and simulation in a unified interface.
- Inventor : Mechanical design software for 3D modelling, widely used in engineering and manufacturing.

Each software package has its own specific features and responds to particular needs. Autodesk offers a solution for virtually every area of design and engineering. This diversity, which enables a single user or company to cover a wide range of projects with integrated tools, is what sets Autodesk apart from other players on the market.
Autodesk subscription rates
Autodesk offers two main payment methods for its licences to suit everyone’s needs:
- Standard subscription: based on a fixed payment, usually monthly or annually, offering full access to Autodesk software as well as updates and technical support. This model allows you to plan your expenditure precisely, and is ideal for those who use the same tools on a regular basis.
Prices vary widely depending on the software and the packages chosen, but you can often expect to pay in excess of a hundred euros a month. - Flex payment: as the name suggests, this is a more flexible alternative based on actual use of the software. Rather than paying a fixed subscription fee, you only pay for the time you use the software (in days). This can be more advantageous for occasional users or for fluctuations in activity.
With this method, you pay for tokens that you can spend freely on the software you want (1 token = €3.3) / some software uses up more tokens than others.
How to pay less for Autodesk
Now let’s get to the heart of the matter: how to pay less for Autodesk. Several solutions exist to reduce the cost of your subscription. Here I present you with my favourite solutions for reducing expenditure in a legal way.
1. Cashback on your subscription
Cashback is a system that refunds you part of the amount you spend after making an online purchase. It works simply: the cashback sites receive a commission from the publishers (in this case Autodesk) when a purchase is made via their link, and pay part of this commission back to the user (us).
How does it work in practice?
- Register with a cashback site such as iGraal, eBuyClub or Widilo. It’s very simple and completely free.
- To activate cashback before purchasing a subscription on Autodesk, simply click on a link on the cashback site which redirects you to the Autodesk site.
- Place your order normally from the official Autodesk website. Once the transaction has been confirmed, the cashback platform registers your purchase and reimburses you the percentage of the amount.
→ This method isn’t going to revolutionise your savings on your Autodesk subscription, but I’m presenting it to you all the same because it is, on the other hand, very profitable for earning money on your everyday purchases, both online and in shops!
The best cashback rate for an Autodesk subscription is 8% at Widilo.

2. Using educational licences
Autodesk offers educational licences for students, teachers and academic institutions. These licences offer free access for 1 year, renewable, as Autodesk wishes to encourage learning and the adoption of its tools from the learning period onwards.
To obtain a licence of this type, you need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- be at least 13 years old
- have student, teacher or subcontractor status with an accredited educational establishment
If you meet these conditions, you can apply for access to one or more software applications for a renewable period of one year.
You can register for Autodesk’s educational programme directly on its website: https://www.autodesk.com/fr/education/edu-software/overview
3. Share an Autodesk licence for just €16
The last method for paying less for Autodesk is the most interesting if you are not a student. It simply involves sharing a licence between several users.

Unless you find several people interested in the same software, it’s difficult to share an Autodesk subscription.
That’s the advantage of using GamsGo, which offers a single subscription providing full access to Autodesk software.
- Subscription costs are significantly reduced, resulting in very competitive rates.
- A full licence gives you access to all the features you need, so you can download the software you want.
- Sharing is easy to manage because GamsGo takes care of the organisation, payment and monitoring of the shared subscription.
How does Autodesk work with GamsGo?
GamsGo acts as an intermediary, allowing several users to group together to share an official subscription.
Each member of the group has full access to the Autodesk licence. There is no loss of functionality, as it is an official shared licence.
How does it work?
1. Sign up to Gamsgo simply and free of charge using your Google account, for example:

Use my Gamsgo referral link to get a free 10-day subscription!
2. From the home page, find the Autodesk subscription and choose the desired duration (from 1 to 6 months). If you take out a 6-month subscription and/or activate automatic renewal, you will receive a small additional discount.

3. Don’t forget to use my promotional code to benefit from an extra 3 to 5%:
BUDGENIE
4. Proceed to secure payment: you will then receive an e-mail giving you access to your Autodesk account login details. You can also find this information in the “subscriptions” tab on your GamsGo account.

Then all you have to do is log in and download the software you want onto your computer!
