With a monthly fee of €15.99 for the Premium plan, Disney+ joins the long list of streaming services that put a strain on our budget.
Good news: there are several ways to pay less for Disney+, without a VPN. I’ve been using the cheapest option myself for over three years, and it allows me to have a Disney+ Premium account from as little as €3 a month and enjoy the extensive catalogue of films and original series from the Disney, Marvel and Pixar universes, amongst others.

Comparison of Disney+ prices and subscription plans in 2026
Disney+ offers three subscription plans in France, ranging from €6.99 to €15.99 per month. The differences between the subscription plans lie in the presence of adverts, picture quality and the number of screens that can be used simultaneously.
The cheapest plan (Disney+ Standard with adverts) will, of course, have fewer features and include adverts, whilst the Premium subscription offers 4K without adverts.

A few things to bear in mind before making your choice:
- Offline downloads are not included in the Standard (ad-supported) plan: this plan does not allow any downloads, whereas the Standard plan offers unlimited downloads and the Premium plan allows 10 downloads per device.
- Advertising accounts for around 4 minutes per hour on the basic package.
- There is no annual payment option for the ad-supported plan. With the other two plans, it saves you around 17 per cent (I’ll come back to this below).
- Disney+ does not offer a free trial or a student discount.
There will be a €2 increase per month in 2024. The Premium plan has therefore risen from €11.99 in 2021 to €15.99 in 2026, an increase of €4 per month.

Some offers can be combined; for example, you could use a cashback website to sign up for an annual deal, or activate your provider’s discount on a subscription you already have. I’ve set out each option in detail below.
GamsGo: get Disney+ for as little as €3 a month
It’s clearly the best way to get a cheap Disney+ subscription. I’ve been using GamsGo for over three years and it’s much simpler and more secure than trying to sort it out yourself via a VPN.
GamsGo is a subscription-sharing platform that has been around since 2020 and offers discounted subscriptions! It buys Premium subscriptions in bulk and resells access to the account profiles. The only ‘restriction’ is that you can only watch on one device at a time.

Of course, I wouldn’t recommend choosing your box solely on the basis of Disney+, but if you’re about to switch providers, your future provider might have a special offer on Disney+
- Free is the only provider to actually include Disney+: the Standard ad-supported package is included with the Freebox Ultra, with no time limit. On the Freebox Pop and Ultra Essentiel, it is a paid option starting at €6.99 per month.
- SFR offers the Standard package with adverts for 6 months on the Fibre Power Box and 9 months on the Premium package.
- Orange is offering a €5-a-month discount on the Livebox Max Fibre, excluding ad-supported plans.
- Bouygues Telecom is offering a €5/month discount on the Standard package, but only for BiG customers who have both a Bbox and a mobile plan with at least 20 GB.
- Canal+ is including Disney+ in its ‘La Totale’ package, which is a good option if you want access to several platforms at once.
Take advantage of the welcome offer and the annual discount
If you’d prefer a 100 per cent official subscription, there are two options available.
Firstly,the welcome offer, currently available on all three packages: €5.99 instead of €6.99, €8.99 instead of €10.99 and €11.99 instead of €15.99 for six months. Please note that this type of promotion is available for a limited time only: check that it is still displayed when you sign up.
Next, there’s the annual billing option, which saves you around 17 per cent – the equivalent of two months’ free access: €109.90 per year for the Standard plan (€9.16 per month) and €159.90 for the Premium plan (€13.33 per month). This means you save €21.98 or €31.98 over the course of the year. However, the ad-supported plan isn’t available on an annual basis, and you pay the full amount up front.
Share your account with an additional subscriber
The days of four people quietly sharing a Premium account are over. Disney+ has followed Netflix’s lead and now restricts account sharing to people living under the same roof.
There is still the official ‘Additional Subscriber’ option, which allows you to invite one extra person from outside your household, with their own profile and password, billed directly to your account. For two people, splitting the bill is still better value than two separate subscriptions, but it’s a far cry from the savings we used to get.
The price of this additional seat varies slightly depending on the package chosen:
- Disney+ Standard with adverts: €5.99 per month
- Disney+ Standard: €6.99 per month
- Disney+ Premium: €6.99 per month
Cashback offers on Disney+
Cashback is money refunded after you’ve made a purchase. You go via a partner site such as eBuyClub or Widilo, click on the Disney+ offer, sign up as normal, and part of your subscription fee is refunded to you a few weeks later.
It’s not the best value option, as the refund is only available when you sign up and is restricted to new subscribers. But if you’re going to subscribe at the standard rate anyway, you might as well get those few euros back whilst you’re at it.
Using a VPN for Disney+
On paper, it’s tempting, as Disney+ doesn’t cost the same everywhere, and using a VPN such as NordVPN involves simulating a connection from a country where Disney+ is cheaper – such as Argentina or Turkey – and subscribing from that country.
So you’ve probably worked out my view on using a VPN to pay less for Disney+: I don’t recommend it because of the risk of being blocked or having your credit card verified at the time of payment, but also because it requires you to be reasonably comfortable with the process, which can be quite technical, and because a (good) VPN comes at an extra cost!
How to buy Disney+ on GamsGo

My experience on GamsGo
I’ve been using GamsGo for over three years to pay less for my subscriptions. I started by trying out a single service, then grouped several of them together in one place: I manage everything from the same interface, and the total cost is still much lower than the official rates.
